I've decided that I need to learn how to wink proficiently.
Have you ever had someone (typically, for me, someone older) who has shared something special with you, and seals that special moment with a wink? It recently happened to me with a girl I work with, and I decided that I want to be able to make someone feel special like she made me feel. I want to be able to share that little something with someone. 'Cuz it feels nice.

Winks creep me out. But maybe that's just me. (Unless they're from a robot. Then I know that it means I can trust the robot because he has gained independent sentience, as well as a conscience.)
I have never heard of anyone being creeped out by winks.
I have never heard of being winked at by a robot.
I have also never heard of "independent sentience".
you must not have seen i, robot.
p.s. you can't wink!? there's such a thing as winking proficiently?
I saw the last 20 minutes-ish of that movie.
P.S. I can a little bit. I meant "winking proficiently" to mean that I want to be able to wink without ending up with a grossly contorted face in the process, which I currently am unable to do. And I may have made the phrase up, so there is a such thing starting now.
well, in order to see a robot who is proficient in the art of winking, you should see i, robot.
I just asked my sister, and she agrees that winks can sometimes be creepy. She says that she understands what you're talking about too, though. As for me, I almost always find them creepy. And yes, see I, Robot if you actually want to know what I was talking about. The whole thing, that is. But I'm guessing it's not actually that important to you.
I could see them being creepy from a weird old man (weird in a not-good sense). But I can't recall a time that it's ever happened. I'm not going to lie, though; now that I know you are always weirded out, I kind of want to make a bunch of people wink at you all the time. Kind of like a wave or handshake. And your assumption would be correct. I'm really not that interested. :~)
